Olga Loya

A creative and dramatic mix of Spanish and English flow together as Latina, Olga Loya, performs a rich repertoire of family stories, folktales, myths, historical stories and legends.  She combines her skills as a teacher and performer to encourage the participants to listen, to use the their imagination, to begin to tell their stories and to develop a love for the word — for the story.   She has been a featured teller at many festivals including the Guadalajara, Mexico Festival and the Jonesborough National Storytelling Festival. Olga was the recent recipient of the  National Network of Storytellers 2013 Oracle Award in The Circle of Excellence.
