As a second generation immigrant, Olga Loya grew up with parents who wanted her to blend in and be successful in East LA. Olga didn't realise she was learning Spanish from her grandparents, but she knew it was a dangerous language -- you could get punished for speaking it at school! Now she uses storytelling to help her audiences share their own stories of triumph and tragedy, through learning to turn towards each other.
